The Fortus Story

The Beginning
Fortus Group was founded with one truck and one principle: do the job right. From day one, we focused on building carrier relationships that would last decades — not transactions that would last a single load. That discipline became the foundation of everything we've built since.
Expansion Into 3PL & Dispatching
Three years in, we expanded beyond asset-based trucking to launch our 3PL Brokerage and Dispatching services. This was the turning point: it let us serve shippers end-to-end and gave owner-operators a dedicated dispatch team backing them on every load. We grew the team with industry veterans and expanded our carrier network across Canada and the US.
Scaling the Network
By 2019, our carrier network had grown to over 10,000 vetted partners across North America. Behind that number: thousands of relationships built on trust, tested on hard lanes, and proven on-time. This is when we knew we had something durable — a logistics operation built on the fundamentals of the industry, not the hype.
Purpose-Built for Scale
Fortus Group now moves freight for 500+ active clients across Canada, the US, and Mexico. We operate our own asset fleet, run an in-house customs brokerage team, and are actively expanding our US footprint with new operations coming online. We're building proprietary technology — including our Atlantis TMS platform — to give our shippers and carriers a level of visibility and control that most 3PLs can't match.
